Event: Learn to play Bocce at the Vermont Farmers Food Center (VFFC)

On Wednesday, August 20th from 6 – 8 PM, Rutland City residents are invited to come to the first “learn to play bocce night” at the Vermont Farmers Food Center’s (VFFC) newly constructed bocce court at 253 West Street in front of the VFFC’s community gardens and Winter Farmers Market. VFFC in collaboration with the newly formed North West Neighborhood Association and NeighborWorks of Western Vermont, will host the event, bringing neighbors together to watch, learn, and/or add their expertise on how bocce is played.

People can also just come to enjoy the summer evening outside with the neighbors. Please bring your chairs, bocce balls, and picnic supper to VFFC for a night of fun. The new bocce court was constructed by VFFC in collaboration with the North West Neighborhood Association with matched grant funding provided by NeighborWorks of Western Vermont.

All neighborhoods in the city are welcome! Neighborhood leagues will be forming soon. Come be part of the action and please help get the word out on this event.

* In case of rain, the event will be held inside the Farmers Hall, site of the Winter Farmers Market.
