Mike O’Malley was the District Manager of Rutland Probation and Parole when he died unexpectedly in April of 2011. Mike had a strong commitment to the safety and strength of this community. His friends, family, and colleagues wish to honor him and his civic engagement by holding a Memorial 5K Run/Walk to benefit Project VISION.
A 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 9:30am to commence and end at Giorgetti Park in Rutland. There will be a race winner’s ceremony immediately following the race and a celebratory barbecue.

Project VISION is a diverse coalition of over 100 social and health service agencies and organizations, local businesses, government, local, county, state and federal probation, parole and law enforcement agencies,
faith – based groups, volunteers and neighbors. Members of Project VISION are working to create meaningful change to address the issues underlying substance abuse and the related criminal activity the Rutland community is facing.
