Thanks for successful race

The Mike O’Malley Memorial 5K to benefit Project VISION was a huge success. We had a great celebration in memory of Mike O’Malley’s life and raised just over $4,000 for Project VISION. There is so much generosity in this community.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, all of the 86 runners/walkers and their supporters, those who purchased raffle tickets and made donations, and all of the volunteers that came out to Giorgetti Park on Oct. 11. Special thanks to the O’Malley family, Bill Wiles, Bill Dydo, Cindy Lack, Kathy Detco, Carrie Devlin, Road ID, United Way of Rutland County, Marble Valley Runners, Rutland Recreation and Parks Department and Cindi Wight.

We thank our in-kind sponsors: TOPS Friendly Markets, McKenzie Country Classics, Freihofer Bakery Outlet, Domino’s Pizza, Price Chopper, Green Mountain Power, Celebrations Rental, Aaron’s, Terrill Street Discount Beverage and Walmart for providing all of the necessities for a great barbecue for all participants and a special thanks to Roadside Chapel for recruiting and organizing the volunteers to execute a delicious barbecue.
