Mission of Organization?: We unite Rutland County residents and resources to facilitate lasting positive change based on community needs.
How does Mission of your Org relate to Project Vision, or advance PV’s Mission?: United Way of Rutland County (UWRC) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the common good, focusing on health, education and financial stability for Rutland County since 1943. UWRC collaborates with community organizations (including Project Vision), businesses and teams with service delivery organizations, and joins forces with dedicated leaders and volunteers to solve community needs that affect families and children, assuring a community-wide services infrastructure. UWRC continuously works to improve the Rutland Region through this work, and we are a very proud partner of Project Vision!
How would your Org like to collaborate with other individuals or organizations?: UWRC already collaborates with Project Vision on issues that have to do with Homelessness, Food Stability, and Health, as these focuses have a direct correlation with our overall mission. We would like to continue our current collaborations within the monthly/weekly meetings that are held, and we also look forward to our continued connections within our committees.
What opportunities are there for your Org to become more involved with PV?: We are already very involved within Project Vision. Currently, we sent on 4 different committees and subcommittees within the coalition, ans we are excited to keep this partnership going.
What is the greatest challenge with which your Org needs help?: Educating the Rutland Region on homelessness and food insatiability.
